Elevate Dance Studio is a new home for dance in the Upstate, serving the Spartanburg and Greenville area. Training is built on classical ballet and strong technique, carried through jazz, lyrical, and hip hop.
We keep it simple: an elevated, supportive environment where dancers ages 3 & up develop artistry, discipline, skill, and confidence.
Belle Maturo is the founder and owner of Elevate Dance Studio. With over 30 years of teaching experience, numerous classical ballet certifications, and dance and choreography accolades earned both nationally and internationally, Belle has dedicated her life to nurturing dancers of all ages.
For 16 years, Belle owned and operated Perfect Pointe School of Dance in Covina, California, growing it into the San Gabriel Valley's premier ballet and dance studio. Under her leadership, she built a thriving program with a team of 14 teachers in a 6,000 sq ft facility, guiding hundreds of students into the beautiful world of dance.
Now, Belle has brought that same proven approach to the Upstate, opening Elevate Dance Studio in Wellford, South Carolina. Her mission remains the same: offer the quality dance instruction that brought her happiness growing up in Australia and create a safe, supportive environment that fosters an enduring love and passion for dance in every student who walks through the door. The Spartanburg and Greenville area now has a studio built on that legacy.
Outside the studio, Belle is a wife and mother of two beautiful children. She also has a son-in-law who currently serves in the United States Navy.
Where worship meets movement — a Christ-centered dance program that uses the art of dance as an expression of faith, praise, and prayer.
Dance by Faith is more than a class — it’s a ministry through movement. Rooted in scripture and led by worship, this program invites dancers to use their God-given gifts to glorify Him. Every combination, every formation, every moment in the studio is an offering.
Dancers learn choreography set to worship music, exploring styles from lyrical and contemporary to praise dance. But the heart of DBF goes deeper than technique. It’s about building a personal relationship with Christ through the discipline and beauty of dance — learning to move not for an audience, but as an act of worship.
Classes open with devotion and prayer, creating a space where dancers can be vulnerable, grow spiritually, and support one another as a community of faith. Whether a dancer is brand new to worship dance or has been moving for years, Dance by Faith meets them where they are and draws them closer.
Dance by Faith is about using the gifts God gave you to praise Him through movement — open to all ages and all levels, the only requirement is a willing heart.
Classes across three studios, Tuesday through Thursday. Placement is by age — find your dancer's classes below.
